The Hall in 2009
Definitions and Charges for Hall & Room Use from April 1st 2012
Community Rate/hr will applied for the majority of users: All activities which provide community activities for any age group and/or are a charitable/good cause.
i.e. (all children’s/youth groups under 18 e.g. playgroups, parent & toddlers, churches, uniformed organisations, voluntary non-profit making/charitable organisations working with under 18’s; and organisations whose principal aims include the well-being and welfare of those with a disability, or people over the age of 60 and where the majority of those attending the activity for which the let is being made either have a disability or are over 60.)
Standard/Commercial Rate/hr will be applied for: All other activities including commercial and political meetings and activities.
The Hall represents a very major community asset serving over 25 groups a week and hosting many varied community meetings.
Whilst still under the auspices of Callander Kirk, the Hall is run by a separate Committee. This committee made up of Community Users and Church representatives.
We endeavour to maintain clear and stable pricing - the only increase this year is 0.35 p/hour (3%) increase for the Hall use which is needed to cover increased power consumption costs.

Refurbishment of the Hall and Yvonne Fuller Library floors
The Hall Committee would like to make public their appreciation of the Community Council’s grant of £2,000 from their Airtricity funds, and also Stirling Council’s Community Fund grant of £1,000 for Hall floor refurbishment. The badly worn floor needed sanding and sealing after all the hard wear it had been subjected to. The work was completed in the quietest period of the year in the first week of August 2011.The result can be seen in the pictures. We also appreciate the provision of a vacuum/polisher from Stirling Council which will enable the Hall Keepers to maintain the floor in a good condition much more easily than in the past.
